Mpeg4 er vel strengt tatt å foretrekke til slikt og ikke Mpeg2, dog krever det litt kraft om det ikke skal bli tidkrevende.
Jeg trenger tips til en videokompressor for Mac som komprimerer video raskt til små filer med minimalt kvalitetstap. Har blitt anbefalt MPEG2, men finner ikke dette i export-menyen i Final Cut Express. Noen tips til hvor jeg kan få tak i en MPEG2-kompressor - gjerne som kan legges inn i Final Cut - eller noe tilsvarende?

Export 1 : Master
This will create a MOV using the DV codec which will be the same frame size and specs of the original camera footage - ie PAL DV Widescreen
- Choose FILE > EXPORT QUICKTIME MOVIE
- Chose a Location to export to.
- Where its says SETTING choose DV PAL 48K ANAMORPHIC
- SAVE
Export 2 : h.264/AVC Hi-Res
This will create a compressed but full resolution high quality export that is much smaler in fiel size than the master. This will be the one we will use for Screening.
- Choose FILE > EXPORT QUICKTIME CONVERSION
- Chose a Location to export to.
- Where its says SETTING choose QUICKTIME MOVIE
- Choose OPTIONS > SETTINGS
- Where its saids DATARATE select RESTRICT TO and enter 2000 (kbits/sec)
- Press OK
- Go to SIZE and where it saids DIMENSIONS choose CUSTOM and then enter 1024 x 576
(DV widescreen is 720 wide with a pixel aspect stretch of 1.422:1. If we times 720 x 1.422 we get 1024. Therefore 1024 is the Square pixel equivalent of DV windscreens rectangular pixels. 1024×576 will look exactly the same as 720×576 with a Pixel stretch of 1.422:1)
- Click DEINTERLACE SOURCE VIDEO and press OK
- Sound settings should read 48,000hz 16bit Stereo. This is fine (uncompressed audio)
- Press SAVE
Export 3 : h.264/AVC Online Lo-Res
This will create a compressed and small version of your video for online download delivery.
- Choose FILE > EXPORT QUICKTIME CONVERSION
- Chose a Location to export to.
- Where its says SETTING choose QUICKTIME MOVIE
- Choose OPTIONS > SETTINGS
- Where its saids DATARATE select RESTRICT TO and enter 500 (kbits/sec)
- Press OK
- Go to SIZE and where it saids DIMENSIONS choose CUSTOM and then enter 400 x 225
(this will keep the 16:9 widescreen aspect but at a scaled down size about half the original size)
- Click DEINTERLACE SOURCE VIDEO and press OK
- Where it saids SOUND click SETTINGS. Where it saids FORMAT choose AAC (this is the audio equivalent of h.264/AVC and is much like Mp3 audio)
- Where it saids RATE it should read 48k
- Where it saids TARGET BITRATE CHOOSE 128kbps
- Press OK
